PowerDVD 5 delivers key new technologies that are guaranteed to maintain

feature is called CLEV™ (CyberLink Eagle Vision) and it automatically detects
and analyzes the decoded video in order to evaluate the distribution of tones
and make any necessary corrections to enhance the quality and sharpness. This is
very important because many movies are too bright in some sections and too dark
in others, so simply adjusting the brightness or darkness will not be effective.
Also, some movie aspects can be lost due to detail loss prevalent in CRT/LCD
monitors
Another major enhancement is called CLPV™ (CyberLink Pano Vision), which
delivers non-linear stretching of 4:3 movies played on widescreen display
devices (or widescreen films on 4:3 displays) to reduce the distortion, seen in
traditional linear stretching, and to give a more natural look! Special cropping
techniques further improve the display of the picture. CLPV™ will enable users
to view any movie they want in the correct aspect ratio for their display
device, even if the original movie doesn’t support it.
In addition, CyberLink has developed a proprietary audio technology, called
CLMEI™ (CyberLink Multi-Channel Environment Impression). With this technology,
users that have multi-speaker systems can playback 2 channel encoded audio
tracks (such as MP3s or audio CDs) in multi-channel virtual surround. OEM
